Good news for bird photographers is that the bird photography contest at Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race 2022 is now open for registration. You can now download the form and submit this via email to the organisers.
Since the last two years, when the Covid 19 pandemic crippled work and businesses, many out there resorted to new hobbies and bird photography is one of them. And after two years of training with backyard birds and then cross-state birds, we should see more bird photographers this year.
Bird Photography Contest at Fraser’s Hill
The contest is open during the Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race 2022 days from 23-24 July. Participants need only to register and submit the form online and then pay the RM20 registration fee at the event venue.
For first-timers and beginners, please read the rules and regulations before entering the contest. It is open to both local and international, and please remember to follow the instructions on how to join.
There are several no-no’s for the contest, which include;
- No Nesting Shots
- No Flash Photography
- Only DSLR and Mirrorless cameras allowed
- All photos MUST be shot within the vicinity of Fraser’s Hill event area.
- EXIF information of photos must be intact
- Plus other detailed information in the entry form
Prizes for Bird Photography Contest at Fraser’s Hill
There has not been any announcement about the prizes but rest assured there will be cash prizes and maybe camera gear. Once I get more confirmation on this, I will announce it here.
Overall, it is not about the money but the thrill, excitement and fun of participating and winning the prizes. Over the years, bird photography has caught on well, especially with the new camera technologies; therefore, I expect to see more exciting photos out there. But hopefully, none of the ‘Feeding the Partridges‘ shots.
