Here is the winners list for Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race 2023, held from 17-18 June 2023 at Bukit Fraser, Pahang, Malaysia. This was also the 34th time the event has taken place here.

During the event, there were three categories for the competitions: the bird photography contest, novice bird race and advanced category bird race open to adults 18 years and above.

Winners List for Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race 2023

The prize-giving was done on Sunday after the race concluded and was held at the main town centre of Fraser’s Hill at around 2.30 PM with a very smooth and simple prize-giving ceremony.

Guest of honour was the honourable Ms Leong Yu Man, who is the Unity, Tourism and Culture Minister for Pahang (Exco Perpaduan, Pelancongan & Kebudayaan Neg Pahang). En Kamaruddin Ibrahim, General Manager for Tourism Pahang, was alongside her.

As for photos of the birds that won, I am currently working with Tourism Pahang to obtain them, and once I get them, I will publish them here and also on our Birdwatching Malaysia Facebook Group, which is an open group for any birders to join.

3rd Place – Taman Negara Flycatcher – 68 Species
4th Place – Kinabalu Whiteheads – 67 Species
5th Place – The Flycatchers – 67 Species
6th Place – Timbolog – 66 Species
7th Place – Bubut Tanah – 66 Species

Novice Bird Race Category

2023 Fraser's Hill Bird Race Novice Category Winner — Team Ulu Cheka Mena won the novice category for the bird race.

3rd Place – Kumbang Echo 69 – 29 Species
4th Place – WBCP Guackling (Philippines) – 29 Species
