Bird Watching Events in Malaysia 2023

Let’s look at the list of events from January till the end of the year. Please note that even though the event dates have been fully confirmed or announced, there can be changes along the way.

Most importantly, you can keep up to date with this article, as I have made this a one-stop birding platform for everyone. Therefore, you can bookmark this page and share it with your birding friends. You should note that we do not see any birding events early in the year, namely in January and February. This is due to the hectic year start, the Chinese New Year, and other holidays.

Sony Malaysia Birdwatching

For Sponsors or Organisers

My mission for this website is straightforward: providing bird-related information via this website regarding locations, events and promotions. And no, I am not one of those bird photographers who only want to share the sharpest photo or rarest bird they find.

In return, I hope the birders and birdwatchers share this website with their networks on WhatsApp or social media platforms. And for the birding industry players, like camera brands, spotting scopes, binoculars, tripods, accessories and bird tour companies, we can always work together in some way or another.

Remember, Birdwatching Asia has a ton of potential where you can directly reach the birding consumers, as whoever visits this website is a birder; the direct customer is what you want to reach out to.

Conclusion

This website for birdwatching in Malaysia and Asia is managed independently by David Hogan Jr, a Malaysian passionate about sharing birding information with the world. I have been writing about birdwatching since 2008, and Birdwatching Asia has been active since 2018.

I also hope you found the information on Bird Watching events in Malaysia 2023 helpful. And if you are planning a bird-related event like a race or photography contest, don’t hesitate to contact me so I can promote it here.

    1. Thank you very much Tan, and appreciate the support. I will update here when possible. Only one problem I face is that the organisers not very active in sharing information. 🙂

  2. Hi David,
Taiping Raptor Watch has not been organised by MNS Perak Branch for the past few years. Nonetheless, raptor migration still continues and people can still enjoy this phenomenon in Taiping, the best location being at Scott’s Hill. Thanks.

    1. Hello Kim, thank you for the valuable update on this. I have not attended, so I did not know what was going on. But now you mention it, that’s good. Anyway, Is it still being called ‘Taiping Raptor Watch’? Or is there another name, plus is there anyone taking lead for this? Thanks.
