The Colombia Birdfair 2024 will take place in February and will be held in various areas in the city of Cali, Colombia. This is also the 10th Anniversary of Colombia’s bird fair, which has promoted the civil society’s interest in observing and conserving birds, birdwatching tourism as a strategy for conservation and sustainable rural development, and raising funds for bird preservation projects in Colombia.

During this year’s bird fair, there will be a lot of talks, workshops, sightseeing trips, photographic and sensory experiences, Birdfair Chic@s, a trade show at the Cali Zoo and Pacific Mall and much more. This four-day event will also offer daily birdwatching trips for children and adults and conferences and workshops with experts from various countries.
The birdfair events actually start on Wednesday with a commercial display and photography exhibition at the shopping mall. Then, on Thursday, it goes into the full activity of workshops, talks and other events.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, see the full scale of the bird fair with several bird outings, bird trips for children, and more workshops and talks happening throughout the weekend and at several locations in the city.

For the 10th Anniversary of the bird fair, there will be commercial and photo exhibitions held throughout the Colombia Bird Fair and daily activities during February in Pacific Centro Commercial, one of the biggest shopping centres in town, for families to learn about the beautiful world of birds.
The Colombia Birdfair also includes a trade show with a wide variety of bird-related products and services; specialized items and birdwatching tours can be purchased. For those who plan to stay longer during the birding event here, there are birding pre-tours and post-tours available.
For bird information in Colombia, there are 993 bird species recorded only in Valle del Cauca, the state whose capital is Cali. There are about 1,920 bird species in Colombia, and more than 400 bird species can be seen during the event.
